The AnyDesk Alternative on Your Own Server

Remote support, screen sharing and meetings through your own Windows or Linux server – with no add-on licence, even on a Raspberry Pi. What FSRdp does differently from AnyDesk, and when AnyDesk remains the better choice.

AnyDesk is fast, lean and, like FSRdp, from Germany. People who look for an alternative usually want one of three things: sessions should run through their own server without operating a separate appliance and paying for an add-on licence; several people should be in one session together, with cameras and also without installed software; or only part of the screen should be visible instead of the entire monitor.

How FSRdp Differs from AnyDesk

Your own server is the normal case, not an add-on

With AnyDesk, your own server is available only as a separate Linux appliance, for example as a virtual machine, and with an additional licence. FSRdp runs directly as a Windows service, as a systemd service on Linux or on a Raspberry Pi 5 behind your own router – included in the price. Video, audio, chat and files run through this server.

Share only the area that matters

AnyDesk shares the entire screen or monitor. In the FSRdp Windows client you drag a frame around exactly the area the other person should see, and FSRdp remembers it per monitor. On ultra-wide and multi-monitor workstations everything else stays private.

Rooms with several participants and cameras

AnyDesk offers video meetings through its separate product AnyDesk One Meeting. With FSRdp they are part of the standard feature set: several participants meet in one room, several cameras run at once, and guests take full part in the browser – watching, talking, sharing their own screen and sending files.

One price per supporter, everything included

FSRdp costs €7 per supporter per month plus VAT, one year in advance – your own server, recording and every feature included; your customers and guests need no licence. Before you decide, FSRdp runs free for 30 days on your own server.

When AnyDesk Remains the Better Choice

FSRdp does not replace every use of AnyDesk. Stay with AnyDesk if you mainly need the following:
